About Liwocare

Care of the Needy
in Many Ways

LIWOCARE began in 1989 as a compassion and prison ministry of Living Word Ministries Inc, a Christian denomination based in Nigeria, USA, and United Kingdom.

Over time, it grew to become an all-inclusive charitable organization, undertaking the rehabilitation of ex-prisoners, social mothers, drug addicts, and those affected by HIV/AIDS — as well as providing medical care, food, clothing, and support for widows.

Originally known as WE-CARE, the organization went public in 2002 as LIWOCARE, registered with the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Free Medical Outreach

Organised medical missions providing free consultations, medications, and health screenings to underserved communities.

Financial Aid

Direct financial assistance to families in crisis, helping cover medical bills, housing, and basic necessities.

Skills Acquisition

Vocational training programmes equipping individuals with practical skills for self-sufficiency and sustainable livelihoods.

Rehabilitation

Comprehensive rehabilitation support for ex-prisoners, recovering addicts, and displaced persons reintegrating into society.
